Kappa Alpha Psi, a historically African-American fraternity, has selected Orlando as the host city for one of its 2017 biannual conventions.
The convention will take place at Rosen Shingle Creek between July 18-22 next year, according to fraternity leaders. A community service project is part of the 83rd Grand Chapter Meeting.
“We strongly believe it’s important to provide a service to help fulfill a community need in every city where we have our conclave,” said Tony Foster, co-chairman of the fraternity’s local convention planning team, in a news release….
